Originally from Kiev, Yana has been defending the rights of marginalized groups since 2014.
«When the war started — I was in Kiev. For the first time in my life I experienced an unknown early feeling — the uncertainty. I had to leave my home and run away with one bag. Then I clearly understood — I can help other people cope, close basic needs and just tell them what to do next» — says Yana.
Yana is responsible for providing assistance to internally displaced people and refugees. Her team purchases needed groceries and items, closes needs at the request of families who have been displaced and delivers everything directly to these people.
Her team has already purchased more than $5,000 worth of food and household items.
